The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to terms with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Jamel Dean on a three-year, $36.75 million deal, according to a league source.
Dean, 29, was the 84th-ranked player on The Athletic’s Top 150 Free Agents, and sixth among cornerbacks.
Dean spent his first seven NFL seasons in Tampa, starting 77 games, including the Bucs’ Super Bowl LV victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. He started 14 games last season, but missed three due as he battled hip and shoulder injuries. He still registered a career-high three interceptions.
Earlier on Monday, the Steelers re-signed cornerback Asante Samuel Jr., who originally joined the Steelers as a free agent last November.
