Fishtown will be chock-full of bold brews, hand-crafted cocktails and pork-inspired bites this weekend with the return of Snouts & Stouts.

Set for Saturday, March 14, area-wide bars and restaurants will showcase stout beer specials, snout-inspired cocktails and savory pork (and plant-based) dishes beginning at 11 a.m.

The occasion is meant to bring a celebration of both community and flavor, with spots like Brewery ARS, Evil Genius Beer Company, Fette Sau, Lloyd Whiskey Bar, Murph’s Bar, Other Half Brewing, Source Urban Brewery, The International, Two Robbers and plenty more participating.

“Fishtown District is thrilled to bring back this destination food-and-drink event to our thriving commercial corridor,” says Marc Collazzo, Executive Director of the Fishtown Kensington Area Business Improvement District. “It’s a great way to spend the day sampling creative pairings at our unique eateries and taverns while supporting local businesses.”

Evil Genius, for one, will be serving up their Magically Delicious green IPA along with a Cuban sandwich special. Frankford Hall is planning to pair a  Kostritzer Schwarzbier pour with sausages and pork schnitzel. Secondhand Ranch will be sporting a Guinness and hotdog with bacon scallion cream cheese on its menu, while WM Mulherin’s Sons will add a Forged Nitro Irish Stout and pork costoletta (with prosciutto, parmigiano and baby arugula) to its lineup for the occasion.

Other stand-outs include a stout braised BBQ pulled pork sandwich topped with Chipotle BBQ, crispy fried onions and jalapeños with a side of slaw and fries from Other Half Brewing; a roast pork pot pie from Percy; and Hawaiian-style pulled pork sliders (braised in brown sugar, Love City Stout, soy, ginger, garlic and pineapple) from Fette Sau.

“Through every season, Fishtown’s business community loves coming together as proud hosts to showcase the neighborhood’s energy, pride, and diversity,” adds Paul Kimport, owner of Johnny Brenda’s and The International Bar. “With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, we encourage visitors to come to the Fishtown District on March 14 to enjoy Stouts and Snouts.”

Stouts & Snouts is free to attend; all food and drinks are pay-as-you-go. For more information and updates, visit fishtowndistrict.com/events/stouts-and-snouts
