The Eagles on Monday were awarded four compensatory draft picks after losing players in free agency last offseason.
They were projected to gain three extra picks, so landing four is a nice boost going into next month’s draft. The Eagles were one of four teams to be awarded four compensatory picks, along with the Ravens and Steelers.
The Eagles were awarded those four picks after losing these four players in free agency a year ago: Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, Mekhi Becton, Isaiah Rodgers:

After gaining those four compensatory picks, the Eagles now have nine draft picks for next month’s draft, which gives Howie Roseman plenty of ammo to draft players, move up and down the board or to make other trades.
