SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Transforming the downtown streets with green, the City of Scranton’s Department of Public Works painted the parade route for the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
For its tradition for over 35 years, painting green traffic lines has become a staple for the parade’s Brian P. Kelly Memorial Race.
The race extends for a 2-mile route, as it begins at the Scranton Cultural Center at 11:45 a.m., and follows the parade route.
Green lines are now seen on the streets, which begin at Wyoming Avenue and Mulberry Street, stretching along the parade’s route, and end at Vine Street.
The Scranton St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts this Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
