Fire crews worked to handle a hazmat situation at a facility in the Bustleton section of Northeast Philadelphia early Tuesday.

According to officials, firefighters responded to a facility located along the 2000 block of Red Lion Road after a hazmat team was requested at about 3:17 a.m. on Tuesday.

The situation was caused by a battery-operated lift that was leaking high levels of carbon monoxide, officials said.

The incident was placed under control at about 5:04 a.m.

Officials did not immediately say what may have caused the leak, but they did note that no one was injured in this incident.

But, an investigation is underway.
