Two University of Pittsburgh projects were recognized by the Master Builders’ Association of Western Pennsylvania (MBA) at the Construction Industry Evening of Excellence. The annual celebration and its Building Excellence Awards honor the best of construction in the region.

Pitt was a winner in the renovation construction between $5 million and $20 million category for its repair of the Heinz Memorial Chapel facade and spire (pictured). Contractor PJ Dick Inc. and architect Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates Inc. were recognized alongside the University.

The University also picked up a finalist recognition for Phase IV of the Hillman Library reinvention in the category of renovation construction over $20 million.
