The Kindness Project is a non-profit that supports foster families across the Lehigh Valley.

They provide things like free clothing, shoes, toys and other essential items.

You can donate those items so foster families can shop at Kindness Exchange Boutique in Emmaus for free.

There is also a mobile boutique that delivers supplies directly to families who are farther away or are having an emergency placement.

If you want to help foster children and their families through this non-profit, you can donate gently used clothing, new clothing, hygiene products, toys, and, since it’s almost spring, they are also accepting donations of filled Easter baskets.

“This time of year is really special because we do our annual Easter basket drive and generally, we bring in between three and 500 filled Easter baskets. Not just for the kids that are in foster care but also the biological children in the foster family and the adopted kiddos,” said Founder, Executive Director Janae Holtzhafer.

You can also donate gift cards for restaurants, stores, or gas stations, or you can volunteer your time.

They’ve got various fundraising opportunities that they have coming up too.

The Boutique in Emmaus is hosting an Open House on March 26th and 27th.
