Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast say they are investigating another copper wire theft caper in Williams Township.
According to a news release, approximately 1,000 feet of braided copper wire valued at $3,500 and 1,000 feet of fiberoptic line valued at $5,000 was reported stolen by Verizonon Feb. 26.
Police said the theft happened in the 900 block of Island Park Road, where thieves cut the wires in order to steal them.
The theft remains under investigation.
