Dozens of cats were rescued from inhumane conditions at a home in Delaware County.

Casey Bonnell of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, is facing 270 total charges after a filed criminal complaint accused him of neglecting dozens of cats at his home, not giving them proper care, and not providing them with a clean living environment, resulting in multiple cats having medical issues or dying.

According to a criminal complaint, on October 1, 2025, Brandywine Valley SPCA received a call from the Darby Township Police Department after dozens of cats were found in a condemned house on Pine Road in Sharon Hill.

Over the span of weeks, SPCA officials returned to the property several times after the discovery to rescue the cats.

Some of the cats were found with injuries and infections, and some of the animals, both adult and kittens, were also found dead. In total, 67 cats were removed from the home.

The SPCA had to euthanize some of the cats due to their poor health conditions, and other cats required surgery.
