PITTSBURGH, PA — If you awoke to thunder and lightning this morning in the Pittsburgh area, you certainly were not alone.
Storms accompanied a warm front that will send temperatures soaring to the mid-70s today. But the warmth will be accompanied by additional storms as a cold front approaches.
The National Weather Service says severe storms are possible until 10 p.m. tonight. The main threat will be damaging winds and hail.
Isolated tornadoes also are possible.
