Shapiro Administration members visit Lehigh County, highlight budget impact on childcare | Western Lehigh County

LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. – Members of Governor Josh Shapiro’s Administration were in Lehigh County Tuesday to show how they say his budget is strengthening the childcare industry.

Officials with the Department of Human Services and the Office of Child Development and Early Learning visited Brookside Children’s Early Education Center in Lower Macungie Township.

They took turns reading books to the children.

The state budget is spending tens of millions of dollars on early education. The efforts include recruiting and retaining more childcare workers.
