St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN) is switching to paperless billing later this month.
A notification sent to patients indicated the change would happen on March 20. Â
“This means you will no longer receive a bill in the mail,” the notification reads. “When a new statement is ready for your review, we will send a notification according to your communication preferences.”
St. Luke’s encourages patients to use its MyChart patient portal. The health network has options for receiving notifications about bills via email, text message and / or push notification.Â
A spokesperson for the health network confirmed that traditional paper billing will remain an option for those who prefer that method.
The spokesperson declined to say how many SLUHN patients still rely on paper bills.
Patients who have questions or need assistance to ensure they still receive paper bills can call the St. Luke’s billing department at 484-526-3150 or 1-800-218-7359.
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) switched to paperless billing in April of 2025. At that time, a little more than half of LVHN patients already received paperless statements, a spokesperson told 69 News.
