According to police in Colorado, the man convinced women to send intimate photos and then threatened to share them with others if they women didn’t continue.

ARVADA, Colo. — A Pennsylvania man has been arrested in connection with a sextortion investigation, and detectives with the Arvada Police Department said they’re concerned there may be additional victims who have not come forward.

According to Arvada Police, David Ajiri, 25, turned himself in at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and was booked into the jail on a charge of Criminal Extortion. Investigators believe Ajiri targeted women, and girls as young as 14 years old, across the country since at least 2018.

Police said they’ve identified one victim but believe there are “many more” who have not yet been identified or have not come forward. Through their investigation, they found evidence that indicates Ajiri targeted women nationwide, not just in Arvada.

Ajiri is suspected of using dating apps, friendship apps, and social media platforms to contact women. He then convinced victims to send intimate images or videos in exchange for payment, Arvada Police said in a news release.

Detectives found that victims were never actually paid. According to police, when they confronted him, he threatened to send their images or videos to friends, family members, or social media contacts unless they continued to provide additional sexual content, money, or both. Police said they also found evidence indicating that Ajiri sold some of the content online.

Detectives have identified dozens of aliases and social media accounts believed to be used by Ajiri. These include:
