PIKE TWP., Pa. – More than $140,000 in funding aims to make a road safer in eastern Berks County.
State Sen. Tracy Pennycuick presented a check to improvement a stretch of Oysterdale Road in Pike Township.
She said the road has been a problem for the past 25 years because a stream in the area has moved, and now rain and snow lead to flooding and freezing in the winter.
Pennycuick said the plan is to replace 10 culverts under the road to redirect the stream water so it doesn’t affect the road.
