Downtown Reading’s GlowFEST is back and brighter than ever, the city announced.

Residents and visitors are invited to experience an evening of lights, energy and community spirit Saturday from 4 to 9:30 p.m. in the 500 and 600 blocks of Penn Street, officials said in a release.

This year’s GlowFEST features new attractions and family-friendly fun, including a Ferris Wheel on Penn Street and additional carnival rides from Tons of Fun Shows; local food, art, and retail vendors.

Nemesis Fitness’ 4th Annual Free Community Glow Run begins at 6 p.m. To register for the run, visit RunSignUp.com/Race/PA/Reading/GlowRun3.

Free parking for the event will be available courtesy of the Reading Parking Authority from 4 to 10 p.m. at the Chiarelli Garage, 69 N. Third St., and Cherry Lot, 341 Cherry St.
