Erie City Mission partnered up with Lucky Bean Run Club, Erie Apparel, and LECOM to give back to the community by collecting socks for the homeless in Erie.

Over the last month, donations have been collected through the run club, at Lucky Bean locations, and at Erie Apparel.

The run started at Erie City Mission and concluded with runners distributing donations during their daily public lunch.

Representatives from Erie City Mission said that it’s not just the donations that count, it’s the connections made.

Regan Ganoe, marketing and communications manager at Erie City Mission, said, “Having people that actually collected those items for them hand them out, and again, make that connection, sit down with them, have a conversation, it really does mean a lot to them.”

Ganoe said the Mission is looking forward to their next event, the Public Easter Lunch, at the end of March.
