PITTSBURGH, PA — Police have charged two people in connection with the death of their 3-year-old child on Wednesday.
At 12:43 p.m., Allegheny County 911 was notified of a child not breathing in the 300 block of Dorothy Drive in Penn Hills. The child was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The hospital’s initial examination revealed the boy showed obvious signs of physical abuse, including multiple healing and active bone fractures.
According to county police, through witness interviews it was determined the child’s mother, Lagomau Malu, 23, physically abused the child on multiple occasions.
