It’s that magical time of the year again when we can all celebrate the Irish in ourselves and in each other. Actual Irish heritage is not required — liking The Cranberries is enough.
For the right food and drink to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Lehigh Valley, here are a few suggestions. Be sure to check for reservations.
McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar serves menu items like boxty, Guinness lamb stew, bangers and mash, cottage pie, corned beef, whiskeys and teas at 534 Main St. in Bethlehem.
Alongside its Irish stout and red, Barley Creek Taproom Saucon will offer themed dishes like shepherd’s pie, “The Angry Leprechaun Pizza,” Irish nachos and drinks like Whiskey Sour and the “Spicy Pickletini” Friday through Tuesday at Promenade Saucon Valley in Upper Saucon Township.

Stahley’s will serve shepherd’s pie, fish and chips and corned beef and cabbage Friday through Tuesday at 1826 Hanover Ave. in Allentown. St. Patrick’s Day will also feature live music 7-11 p.m. from TNT.

515 Main will offer Jameson Green Teas, Guinness, Irish Car Bombs and corned beef sandwiches on Saturday at 515 Main St. in Bethlehem.

Porters’ Pub will offer a special St. Patrick’s Day menu through Tuesday at 700 Northampton St. in Easton. It will include fish chowder, Guinness lamb stew, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie and corned beef and cabbage.
McCoole’s at the Historic Red Lion Inn will offer live music from DayBreak, as well as boxty, Guinness French onion soup, Reuben sandwiches, the “Guinness Gold Burger,” bangers and mash, and corned beef and cabbage Friday through Sunday at 4 S. Main St. in Quakertown.

Riley’s Restaurant & Pub will serve St. Patrick’s Day specials Friday through Sunday at 4505 Main St. in Whitehall Township, including Guinness, cabbage and noodles and corned beef.
The Riegelsville Inn will serve colcannon soup, Irish soda bread, bangers and mash and corned beef and cabbage Friday through Tuesday at 12 Delaware Road in Riegelsville. The Borkum Riffers will also play live music 7-10 p.m. on Saturday.

The Braveheart Highland Pub will serve a breakfast buffet 8-10 a.m. on Tuesday at 430 Main St. in Hellertown, including bangers sausage, Irish bacon, boxty, scrambled eggs and blood pudding.
An employee confirmed other offerings such as corned beef and cabbage Sunday through Tuesday and specials like haggis on Tuesday.

Mahoney’s Irish Pub will offer corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, Guinness and green beer on Tuesday at 1609 Hanover Ave. in Allentown, co-owner Eileen Mahoney said. O’Shep will also play live music at 6 p.m.
Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub serves foods like shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash and fish and chips at 4 E. Fourth St. in Bethlehem.
Hawk Mountain Brewery will serve specials for St. Patrick’s Day at 3530 Lehigh St. in Whitehall Township. They include corned beef sandwiches through Sunday, a smash burger with corned beef and fried egg on March 18 and drinks like “Mrs. McMurray’s Mint” and “Lucky Crush.”
Valley Family Restaurant will serve a special menu with items like corned beef and cabbage and shepherd’s pie on March 17 at 2816 Easton Ave. in Bethlehem Township.
