A teenager died after his vehicle struck a traffic sign and landed in a ditch in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, police said.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at around 5:13 am, troopers from the Fogelsville Station were called to I-78 Westbound, Mile Marker 54.1, in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, after receiving a report of a vehicle in a ditch.
Upon arrival, police said troopers learned that an 18-year-old from Upper Milford Township was driving a 2005 grey Ford Mustang westbound when it struck a traffic sign and came to rest in a ditch on the right side of the highway.
Medics transported the teen, who has not been identified, from the scene to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
