EASTON, Pa. – A folding knife was found in an Easton Area High School bathroom Wednesday, according to a message to the community from Principal Kyle Geiger.

The school said there was no intent to cause harm and no active threat to the safety of students or staff.

Act 44 now requires notification for all weapon-related incidents—including accidental incidents or those that pose no threat, the school said.

The school said the folding knife meets the legal definition of a weapon under the PA School Code.
