A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after being pulled from a pond Thursday in Salisbury Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

State police and emergency workers were dispatched to a farm on the 1500 block of Mine Road around 10 a.m. Thursday.

The boy was taken to a hospital where he remained in critical condition Friday morning, state police said.

Police said someone at the property removed the boy from the water before first responders arrived. The incident remains under investigation.
