Bomb squad, police investigating suspicious package on East Busway in Downtown Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh bomb squad is assisting officers with an investigation on the East Busway in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Regional Transit confirms police are investigating a suspicious package on the East Busway near The Pennsylvanian.

Sources tell Channel 11 that the bomb squad is also at that scene.

A spokesperson for PRT said buses are getting on and off the busway at the 26th Street ramp. Buses are not accessing the Pennsylavnian bus stop.

Channel 11 has a crew heading to the scene and is actively working to learn more.
