BATH BOROUGH, Pa. – There is an active police scene in a borough in Northampton County on Thursday. 

Pennsylvania State Police troopers responded to the area of Route 512 and Main Street in Bath Borough for reports of a disturbance around 3:30 p.m..

The Troop M Bethlehem Criminal Investigative Unit is on the scene, according to officials.

Route 512 is closed between Mill Street and Main Street for the investigation, police said. 

The borough of Bath posted a traffic advisory on their Facebook page warning drivers of police activity in the area of Main Street and Walnut Street. 

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while officers handle the situation, the borough said. 

Pedestrians in the affected area are also being asked to vacate the vicinity while officers handle the situation, according to the borough.

It is unknown at this time the cause of the scene. We are working to find out more information.
