Former Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker is headed home.
According to multiple reports, Brisker signed a one-year, $5.5 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday afternoon, bringing him back to the Keystone State. He spent the previous four seasons with the Chicago Bears, totaling 342 tackles, seven sacks, four forced fumbles and four interceptions. Brisker has been a solid tackler and strong in the pass rush, though his coverage grades have lacked at times.
Prior to being drafted by Chicago in the second round of the 2022 draft, Brisker spent three seasons at Penn State after two with Lackawanna College. As a Nittany Lion, Brisker totaled 151 tackles and five interceptions, including a pick in the season opener against No.12 Wisconsin in 2021.
The Pittsburgh native will reunite with several Nittany Lions, including cornerbacks Joey Porter Jr. and Daequan Hardy and tight end Pat Freiermuth, all of whom he played with for at least two seasons in Happy Valley.
