Raymond Rich “Ray”, 65, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at home.

Born in Elizabeth, he was raised in the Avenal section of Woodbridge Township and resided in Linden before moving to Allentown 11 years ago.

Ray was a graduate of Colonia High School, Colonia Class of 1978; and a graduate of Berkeley College of Woodbridge.

He was previously employed as a manager with Rickels Home Center, Home Depot and Lowes. For the last 6 years he worked for Green Acres Outdoor Living in Allentown, PA.

He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond J. Rich and Mary T.  Gorka.

Ray is survived by his longtime partner of 35 years, Jenine Barnes; his children, Raymond Rich and his wife Milinda of Harrison, Noreen Archibald and her husband Peter of Bridgewater, and Jade Rich of Avenel; and his grandchildren, Jack and Makenzie. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara McGann and her husband John of Toms River, Patricia Rich of Iselin, his twin brother Thomas Rich of Manville, David Rich of Sayreville, and Michelle Bernisky and her husband Kenny of Avenel, along with many nieces and nephews.

Ray was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit, which brought laughter to those around him. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan and enjoyed camping and fishing with his son. Ray especially enjoyed attending Jade’s concerts, taking pride in her music and talent. His grandchildren brought him great joy and laughter, and he was incredibly proud to be known as Pappy.

He enjoyed time spent with his brothers and sisters during their annual “sibling weekend” in Cape May or the Carolinas, but most of all, he treasured the quiet, meaningful time he shared with Jenine while hosting family gatherings and cookouts.
