A 47-year-old man was shot in the leg Friday afternoon at Neshaminy State Park in Bristol Township’s Croydon section, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The incident, which state police said poses no ongoing danger to the public, is under investigation.

Local and state police, along with park rangers, responded to the marina at the park along the Delaware River at approximately 3:37 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
At the scene, troopers determined the 47-year-old Croydon man had come to the park with a firearm and encountered two other men who were fishing – an 18-year-old from Philadelphia and a 22-year-old from Bensalem Township, state police said.
The 22-year-old man fired a handgun, which sent a bullet into the 47-year-old man’s leg, according to a state police.

The wounded man fled the scene in his vehicle and stopped later, state police said.
Bensalem EMS treated the man before taking him taken to a local hospital for his injuries, state police said.
At the scene, broken glass littered the area and what appeared to be a rifle was observed on the ground near an abandoned cart of fishing gear.

Trooper Nathan Branosky said he was unable to comment further on the case due to the ongoing investigation.
A Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources ranger restricted access to the area as troopers investigated the shooting.

The incident is being investigated by the Troop M Trevose Criminal Investigation Unit, with assistance from the Bristol Township Police Department and the Bensalem Township Police Department.
Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Trevose Criminal Investigation Unit at 215-942-3900.

The incident took place shortly before 3:30 p.m. Friday in the area of a parking lot across from the park’s marina ramp, sources said.
Sources said a man was shot during the incident.
Troopers were marking off a scene that included broken glass and what appeared to be a rifle on the ground.
As of 4:35 p.m., few additional details were available from authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
