Ann Marie Nash
OBITUARY
Ann Marie Nash, 87, a lifelong resident of Taylor, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8th, at Marywood Heights. She was born in Scranton to the late William and Anne Kadryna Nash.
Ann Marie was a proud graduate of St Ann’s High School and Scranton Business School. She dedicated 35 years working for the State Workers Insurance Fund, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kindness. She made many friends over the years from her time at the state building.
A woman of deep faith, Ann Marie, was a member of St. Ann’s Basilica and was a volunteer every year during the Novena, serving others in her community. Her compassion and willingness to help those in need left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Ann Marie had a special place in her heart for animals and loved her dogs. Molly and Daisy brought her endless joy and companionship throughout her life.
But above all else, she cherished her family. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nancy Nash; her nephew William Nash III and his wife Maria, niece Kristin Nash, great niece Kellie Hauk and husband Andrew, and great nephews William Nash IV and fianc Ashley Kempa and Ryan Nash; and a great-great nephew Nash William Hauk, all of Taylor.
She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved brother William Bucky Nash Jr.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ken Sebastianelli for his years of care and compassion. They would also like to thank Marywood Heights Skilled Nursing for the exceptional care.
The funeral will be on Monday, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 at St. Ann’s Basilica, St. Ann’s Street, Scranton. Those attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home, 1240 St. Ann’s Street, Scranton, PA. Entombment will be at the Cathedral Cemetery.
