Theresa Ann Telesco
OBITUARY
Theresa Ann Telesco, 88, of Dunmore, died Tuesday at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Veno Telesco. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School, Class of 1955 and a devoted member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Prior to her retirement, Theresa was employed for more than 30 years at Northeastern Bank, which later became PNC Bank. Following her career in banking, she worked at JC Penney in the home furnishings department.
In her spare time, Theresa enjoyed sewing. She was known for crafting blankets and making and altering clothing for family members. An avid golfer and bowler, she was a member of the Pine Hills Golden Girls Golf League and the Hilltop Ladies Bowling League.
Theresa spent most Sunday evenings visiting and reminiscing with her brothers over coffee and dessert. A wonderful baker, she was especially known for her famous lemon pie and always made sure there were sweets around for family and friends.
Theresa was a dedicated daughter who lovingly cared for her parents, and she was a treasured sister and aunt.
She is survived by her sister, Angie Lacertoso and husband Tony, Dunmore; her brothers, Eugene Telesco, Dunmore; and William Telesco and wife Ann, Throop; nieces and nephews, Tony Lacertoso Jr., Mary Ann Mooney, Arlene Ames, Donna Kashmer, Gina Sheehan, Michael Telesco, Nancy Telesco, and Jennifer Telesco Loftus; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Patricia Kays Telesco.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street, Dunmore.
Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday morning at the funeral home from 8 to 9 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Dunmore.
