The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today acquired forward depth. According to the AHL transactions page, the Calgary Wranglers are trading forward Blake Bennett to the Penguins. Bennett this season, has played in 56 games for the Rapid City Rush in the ECHL. He has 51 points on 22 goals and 29 assists. He’s a -17 with six power-play goals. The return heading back to Calgary is expected to be future consierations.

Bennett played his college hockey at American International College. In his first season, he played in five games, recording three points on two goals and an assist; he was a plus-one. In his second season, he played in 37 games, recording 34 points on 20 goals and 14 assists; he was a plus-ten. 2022-23 was his final season where he appeared in 38 games, recording 35 points on 22 goals and 13 assists; he was even in plus/minus.
Bennett made his debut in Rapid City in 2022-23 after his collegiate season ended. He had five points on goal and four assists. He was even in plus/minus. In the next season, he had 63 points in 72 games. Bennett had 35 goals and 28 assists. He was a minus-eight with eight power-play goals. Last season, in 37 games, he had 52 points on 27 goals and 25 assists. He was a minus-one with eight power-play goals. He also spent part of last season in Denmark and Germany. In nine games in Denmark, he recorded nine points on six goals, three assists, and was a plus-one. In Germany, he played in 16 games, recording four points on three goals and an assist; he was a minus-two.
