Nearly 70K power outages reported locally as high winds hit the area

PITTSBURGH — Strong wind gusts have been blowing through the area, causing power outages for thousands of people.

Duquesne Light Company reported 50,114 customers without power as of 6:00 p.m.

Those outages by county are:

Allegheny County – 43,864 power outagesBeaver County – 6,254 power outagesButler County – 6 power outages
