Renters in Pittsburgh, Pa saw apartment listing prices essentially unchanged from February 2025’s median of $1,500, an analysis of new data from rental marketplace Zumper shows.

The data covers all bedroom sizes, ranging from studios to four-bedroom units, within the specified metropolitan area. It reflects the median rent for all listings that were active at any given point during the month, according to Russell Middleton, co-founder of Zumper. New construction is included in the data and listings that are currently occupied or no longer available are excluded.
Out of 2,936 rental listings in Pittsburgh, Pa, 11 are subsidized. When those are excluded, the overall median rent for listed apartments goes to $1,505 .
One-bedroom apartments listed to rent at a median of $1,290, no change since January, when they were $1,290. Since February 2025, one-bedroom rental prices rose 1% from $1,280.
Two-bedroom apartments listed for rent had no change since January at a central price of $1,560, compared to $1,560. Since February 2025, two-bedroom rental prices slightly dropped from $1,550.
Statewide, Pennsylvania rental listing prices are . One-bedroom rentals were listed for a typical price of $1,295, slightly higher than January’s average of $1,277. Two-bedroom rental listing prices are trending slightly higher than January’s central price of $1506.0 at $1,550.
In Pittsburgh, Pa, the typical apartment listed for rent is essentially unchanged from the state median. One-bedroom rentals were nearly the same as the state median, while two-bedrooms listed for approximately the same price.
Nationwide, apartment rental listing prices are essentially unchanged from the previous month’s $1,870. One-bedroom rentals across the nation listed for a typical price of $1,519, just higher than the previous month’s median of $1,503, while two-bedroom rental listing prices approximately the same as the previous month’s median of $1,791.
In Pittsburgh, Pa, the typical apartment listed for rent is 19% below the national median. One-bedroom apartment rentals listed 15% below the national median, with two-bedroom rentals listed 12% below.
