READING, Pa. – The Reading police have identified the suspect in the city’s latest homicide, that being the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy last month.

Authorities announced Tuesday that they have charged Robert Saintkitts with first- and-third-degree murder in the death of Francisco Soto Jr. in the area of North 10th and Buttonwood streets on Feb. 23.

“We still don’t know motive at this point, but they were in the same location. said RPD Capt. Cheryl Pentheny. “Saintkitts chased the victim west on Buttonwood Street.”

Saintkitts should be considered armed and dangerous, Pentheny said.

The police are asking anyone with information about Saintkitts or the homicide to call the Reading Police Department at 610-655-6116.
