Authorities have identified the 18-year-old who died Thursday after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 in Lehigh County.
Tealson Herrlin of Upper Milford Township was driving the vehicle that crash along the interstate about 5:10 a.m. Thursday, Coroner Daniel Buglio said. He was traveling westbound when he hit a traffic sign, sending his vehicle into a ditch off the right side of the road, state police said.
East Penn School District confirmed Herrlin was a student at Emmaus High School.
Herrlin was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he died from his injuries about an hour later. An autopsy confirmed his cause of death was multiple blunt-force trauma, with the manner accidental, according to Buglio.
State police are investigating the crash.
