Authorities said the shooting occurred inside a P1 bus near the Homewood Station along the East Busway around 5 p.m. One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition as a result of the incident. As of Sunday, an update on their condition has not been made public. Two juvenile suspects, police said, are said to have been involved in the shooting. Both were last seen exiting the bus and running from the scene before police arrived. No additional injuries were reported, and the East Busway was temporarily closed on Saturday.
