LONGSWAMP TOWNSHIP, Pa. – People were flying down the slopes at Bear Creek on Saturday, but not in the traditional sense.

Instead, they got behind the wheel for snowmobile drag racing.

A large group of spectators lined up to watch stock and modified sleds compete.

More than 400 riders of all ages participated in the event.

“It’s gonna be pretty interesting when the big sleds get on the hill, there’s some pretty impressive snowmobiles out here today,” Ryan Fanelli said. 

Bear Creek’s skiing and snowboard season wrapped up on Saturday.
