The Philadelphia Eagles are bringing back their touchdown leader from 2025.

According to ESPN, the Eagles and tight end Dallas Goedert have agreed on a new one-year, $7 million contract.

The deal will keep Goedert in Philadelphia through the upcoming 2026 season, which will be Goedert’s ninth as a member of the Eagles since the team selected him in the second round (49th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The deal reportedly includes a 4.25 million signing bonus. By getting the deal done when they did, the Eagles avoided a dead-cap hit of over $20 million that would’ve triggered when Goedert’s existing contract expired on Monday.

Given Goedert’s productive play, the $7 million price tag on the new deal is a  very reasonable rate. In 2025, Goedert caught 60 passes for 591 yards and a team-leading 11 touchdowns.

“Tremendous player and person for the Philadelphia Eagles,” Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said of Goedert at this year’s NFL combine. “… Very appreciative of Dallas Goedert.”

The Eagles are probably now set at the tight end position for next season. In addition to Goedert, the team also brought back Grant Calcaterra on a one-year deal and signed veteran Johnny Mundt in free agency.
