SCRANTON, LACKWANNA CO. (WOLF) — In a follow-up to a story first reported by FOX56 Saturday, the investigation into a shooting is ongoing.
Two people were injured in a shooting at a South Scranton bar late Friday night, and authorities say both are expected to survive.
Lackawanna County District Attorney Brian Gallagher told FOX56 that the shooting happened at Big Daddy’s Bar in the Cedar Avenue area of South Scranton. The incident left two people hurt, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Gallagher said the case remains under investigation and charges are expected to be filed against two individuals.
The update comes after FOX56 reported Saturday morning that police were investigating reports of gunfire overnight in the Cedar Avenue neighborhood. Witnesses said officers were called to a bar in the area late Friday night into early Saturday morning.
At the time, details were limited, and authorities had not confirmed the number of injuries. Witnesses said one person had been taken to a local hospital.
