Say Goodbye To Coen Markets Convenience Store Name

PITTSBURGH, PA — The Coen chain of convenience stores and fuel retailers has a new owner.

Cumberland Farms is acquiring the 54-store chain that has operations spanning Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia.

“We are excited to welcome the Coen Markets team to Cumberland Farms and to continue building upon the legacy of success,” Cumberland Farms CEO Russ Colaco said in a statement.

Cumberland Farms has more than 575 convenience store locations across Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Coen has owned the Pittsburgh stores since 2018, when they were called CoGos locations.

CoGo’s was funded as Stop-N-Go in 1962 and rebranded as CoGo’s about 20 years later.
