PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Northeast Philadelphia Airport will be getting major upgrades thanks to two federal funding awards.
On Monday, U.S. Representative Brendan Boyle detailed the $1.4 million in funding for infrastructure improvements at the airport.
$1 million will be used to upgrade the airfield.
The remaining funds will be set aside to repair perimeter fencing.
Officials say these projects will help strengthen safety and support airport operations for years to come.
