ARDMORE, PA — Lower Merion Schools will move all after-school activities indoors Monday because of potentially dangerous weather, including possible tornadoes.
A tornado watch in the region is in effect until 7 p.m. Monday. During that time, a few tornadoes and gusts of up to 80 mph are likely, with the possibility of hail up to a quarter-size, according to the National Weather Service’s Philadelphia/Mount Holly office.
The Lower Merion School District announced around noon that all outdoor after-school activities will be moved indoors.
“District administrators will continue to monitor weather forecasts to determine if further changes or cancelations will be necessary,” the district announced. “If so, that information will be communicated to staff and families.”
