READING, Pa. – CEO Tom Sturgis of Tom Sturgis Pretzels died last week, according to a Facebook post from the company.

Sturgis was 92, and was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend.

The store says he proudly carried his family’s legacy forward for decades in the pretzel industry.

The post online says he was at the bakery every day, checking on the pretzels, making repairs, or even tending to flowers outside.

“Over the years, he not only witnessed the world change—he helped shape it, leaving a lasting mark on the pretzel industry and on the countless people whose lives he touched. He will be deeply missed,” the post reads.
