The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch in effect until 7 p.m. EDT this evening for the following areas in Pennsylvania:

This includes the cities of Berwick, Bloomsburg, Carlisle, Chambersburg, Danville, Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lewisburg, Lewistown, Mifflintown, Millville, Newport, & Stroudsburg.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING

The National Weather Service in mount Holly, NJ has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 2:30pm for:

North central Lehigh CountyCarbon CountyMonroe CountyWest central Northampton County

At 1:45PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Nesquehoning, or near Lehighton, moving northeast at 55 mph with 60 mph wind gusts.

WIND ADVISORY

We also have a wind advisory in effect from 2 pm this afternoon to Midnight tonight. We have south winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected in Northeast and Central PA.

Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
