Raymond J. Huber

OBITUARY

Raymond J. Huber, 87, Commander, U.S. Navy (Ret.), passed away after a distinguished career marked

by service, engineering expertise, and a lifelong curiosity about how things work.

Ray graduated from Reading High School (Reading, PA) before earning a B.S. in Mathematics from

Franklin & Marshall College. He entered Navy Officer Training School in 1960, beginning a 20-year

career that included service aboard the USS Denebola and leadership roles in engineering and

electronics management in Washington, D.C.; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Philadelphia, PA; and San

Diego, CA. He later earned advanced degrees in electrical engineering, business administration, and

systems management.

After retiring from the Navy at the rank of Commander, Ray worked in advanced engineering with

Raytheon and Kearfott and later taught computer courses at Caldwell College.

Ray lived in several communities throughout Virginia and New Jersey, forming lasting friendships
