ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A severe storm caused major damage, closing roads and knocking out power for thousands overnight.

Southside Allentown was one of the hardest hit areas.

69 News caught the video from the area of Poplar and Devonshire streets.

The storm ripped off several roofs and destroyed porches, sending them into people’s yards.

Debris could be seen littering the streets, and some cars were damaged by falling limbs.

Nearby Fountain Street was closed off as a tree fell on top of a box truck.

In the area of Emmaus Avenue, trees were uprooted and fell onto wires.

Fences and homes had visible damage. A trampoline was even flipped over in someone’s yard.
