ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Fallen trees and downed wires blocked some roads in the Lehigh Valley Tuesday morning, leading to some headaches for drivers.

Oxford Drive in Allentown was hit hard after storms moved through the region Monday night.

A tree fell on the fence of a home near the corner of Oxford Drive in Allentown. The debris spilled out onto the road nearby.

The area of Lehigh Avenue and Oxford Drive experienced power outages overnight. Power was restored early Tuesday morning.

The intersection of Vultee and Lehigh streets in Allentown were still dark Tuesday morning, leading to traffic backups.

On Moravian Avenue, a downed tree was on top of fallen power lines. Debris was scattered throughout roads, blocking some of them in the area.

At the intersection of Devonshire and South 12th Street, it was completely dark early Tuesday morning, and a streetlight could be seen on the ground. The area was roped off with caution tape.

Also in that area, an electric pole was hanging against other wires. Multiple electric poles were downed.

Some roads were closed in the area.

Make sure to use caution when driving in the area of Downyflake Lane, Vultee Street, Devonshire Street, and South 12th Street. Some drivers were turned around in areas where roads were closed.

People heading out the door are urged to take their time. If there are trees and debris on the road, take it slow while driving.
