Dry, Cool Today & This Weekend In South Central Pennsylvania
High temperatures on Friday will reach the upper 50s across the Susquehanna Valley.
EVERYONE. WE’RE GOING TO BE STAYING COOL AND DRY THROUGH THE WEEKEND HERE. AS WE HEAD INTO NEXT WEEK, THOUGH, OUR RAIN CHANCES DO GO UP, ESPECIALLY IN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE WEEK, AND LOOKS LIKE COOL TEMPERATURES WILL BE STICKING AROUND AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE END OF THE MONTH HERE NEXT WEEK AS WELL. HARRISBURG THIS MORNING. GOOD MORNING TO YOU IN DAUPHIN COUNTY. LOOKING PRETTY GOOD HERE AND QUIET AT LEAST ON THE SKY CAM. CURRENT TEMPERATURE 38. IN HARRISBURG. IT’S 37 IN LANCASTER, YORK YOU’RE AT 3335. IN LEBANON. CHAMBERSBURG, HERE AT 40 DEGREES. THE WARMEST SPOT, THOUGH, IS GETTYSBURG, CURRENTLY AT 43. STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK IS QUIET AT THE MOMENT HERE. THERE IS NOTHING ON OUR RADAR, BUT WHEN WE LOOK TO THE NORTHWEST, YOU CAN SEE A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN HERE ALONG A COLD FRONT THAT’S PUSHING THROUGH PARTS OF THE STATE. NOW WE WILL NOT BE GETTING THE RAIN WITH THAT, BUT SOME OF THE RESIDUAL CLOUDS MAY WORK THEIR WAY INTO THE AREA. SO YOU WILL NOTICE THE CLOUDS INCREASING AS WE GO THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HIGH OF 58 EXPECTED TODAY. THIS EVENING WE’LL DROP BACK TO 48 WITH A MOSTLY CLEAR SKY AND OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT WE’RE WAKING UP TO THIS MORNING WILL BE IN THE 30S FOR MOST OF THE AREA AND MOSTLY CLEAR SKY. SO SEASONABLY CHILLY NIGHT COMING OUR WAY FOR YOUR SATURDAY MORNING SUN AND THEN AFTERNOON CLOUD COVER. IT’S CRISP. IT’S GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL FALL LIKE DAY OUT THERE WITH SOME LIGHT WINDS AND UPPER 50S FOR THE HIGHS HERE. AS WE LOOK AT YOUR PREDICTOR, YOU CAN SEE THE CLOUDS INCREASING THIS AFTERNOON. THAT NORTHWEST WIND HELPING TO BRING IN SOME OF THAT MOISTURE FROM THE SHOWERS THERE TO THE NORTHWEST HERE THIS AFTERNOON. AND THAT WILL CLOUD US UP THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY TONIGHT. IT CLEARS OUT. AND THEN AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR SATURDAY, WE START WITH SUNSHINE AND THEN MORE CLOUD COVER ONCE AGAIN COMES BACK IN AS SOME OF THAT NORTHWEST FLOW BRINGS IN THAT MOISTURE AGAIN FROM THE LAKES. AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR SUNDAY, THOUGH, EVERYTHING LOOKING QUIET AS WELL, STARTING OFF WITH SUNSHINE AND YOU GUESSED IT, AND WITH SOME CLOUD COVER HERE AS WE GO THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. SO OVERALL, PRETTY QUIET WEEKEND AS WE DO. HEAD TO SUNDAY THOUGH WINDS WILL SWITCH TO THE NORTHEAST AND THAT’S GOING TO HELP COOL US DOWN AS WE GO INTO NEXT WEEK. BUT TONIGHT FOR FOOTBALL FRIDAY, ANOTHER GOOD NIGHT FOR SOME. FOOTBALL. WE’LL BE DRY. TEMPERATURES GO FROM 56 AT PREGAME DOWN TO 47 BY THE END OF THE GAME. SO JUST KEEPING IN MIND TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO DROP QUICK TONIGHT. ONCE THAT SUN GOES DOWN. AND WHEN WE LOOK AT YOUR WEATHER PLANNER FOR THE WEEKEND 58 ON YOUR SATURDAY, MOSTLY SUNNY AND CRISP WITH A SUN AND CLOUD DAY ON SUNDAY. COOL AND PLEASANT FOR THE WEEKEND AS WE LOOK AT HIGH TEMPERATURES, SUNDAY IS ACTUALLY THE HIGHEST IN THE WARMEST. IT GETS BECAUSE THEN WE DROP BACK INTO THE 50S AND CHECK THIS OUT. IT ACTUALLY CONTINUES TO GO DOWN BY THURSDAY. WE’RE TALKING A HIGH OF ONLY 52 DEGREES. OUR AVERAGE BY MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK IS 61, SO IT WILL BE WELL BELOW AVERAGE AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE END OF THE MONTH. AND YOUR TEN DAY FORECAST. AGAIN, COOL AND CRISP THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND HERE. OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL BE IN THE UPPER 30S ALL WEEKEND, AND AS WE HEAD INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK, CLOUDS BEGIN TO INCREASE MONDAY AND TUESDAY WITH MID 50S FOR HIGHS. RAIN CHANCES THOUGH, GO BACK UP WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. THAT’S OUR BEST CHANCE FOR SOME RAIN. SOME OF THAT MAY LINGER INTO HALLOWEEN
