PITTSBURGH, PA — Winter will prove that it’s still around today in Western Pennsylvania.
The National Weather Service is predicting more snow. The precipitation will not be consistent, but expect more on-and-off snow showers.
The snow will last through 8 p.m. but will peak through 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
How much to expect? The weather service says accumulations of 1.6 inches in Pittsburgh, 2 inches in Washington County and 1.1 inches in Butler County.
The impacts will be mainly tied to heavy brief snow showers that could disrupt travel and cause slick road conditions and rapid deterioration in visibility.
Monday was the snowiest 60-degree day in weather service records dating back to 1948. After temperatures fell, 6.3 inches of snow was recorded at Pittsburgh International Airport.
