The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival will return to Franklin Square for summer 2026. This event will feature illuminated lantern displays, live performances, and food from June 5 to Aug. 16.

According to PhillyVoice, visitors to the festival can enjoy cultural stage performances, a fountain light show at the Rendell Family Fountain, a variety of food and drinks, and discounted activities such as Philly Mini Golf and the Parx Liberty Carousel.

The 2026 edition of the festival celebrates the Year of the Horse and features new lantern designs made from steel frames and colored silk created for the show.

The festival runs nightly from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. In addition to the evening hours, the park is open and free for daytime lantern viewing and a scavenger hunt.

After 6 p.m., entry to the park requires a ticket. Adult ticket prices range from $28 to $32, and children’s prices are $16 for children 3–12. Seniors and active military members receive discounts, and timed tickets are required on Fridays through Sundays. Tickets will go on sale on April 6 at 9 a.m.
