COOPERSBURG, Pa. – A Lehigh County restaurant at a strip mall is closed after Monday night’s storm tore off its roof.
New Santiagos Restaurant is temporarily closed after strong winds ripped the roof off of the strip mall.
A roof was taken off of the home of New Santiagos Restaurant and La Cocina de Abuela on 3rd Street.
The restaurant owners tell us they can now see the sky from the kitchen.
In a Facebook post, New Santiagos Restaurant said it will be temporarily closed.
“The safety of our team and community is our top priority. We will keep you updated and announce as soon as we are able to reopen. Thank you for your understanding and continued support,” the restaurant said in the post.
La Cocina de la Abuela’s roof was taken off during the storm.
Part of it is hanging off of the building while other pieces of twisted debris are scattered across the ground.
