A Lackawanna County man is behind bars after authorities say he attempted to flee from police, leading to multiple criminal charges.

According to court records, 44-year-old Jason Patrick Fuhr of Jessup is facing felony charges of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and flight to avoid apprehension, along with a misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment.

The charges stem from an incident earlier this month. Details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident were not included in court documents.

Fuhr was arraigned March 11 and is currently being held at the Lackawanna County Prison after failing to post $40,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25.

Court records also show Fuhr has a prior criminal history, including a 2025 case involving drug-related charges that was forwarded to county court, as well as older cases involving assault, DUI, and fleeing police.

Authorities have not released additional details as the case moves through the court system.
